Gears of War remaster launches August 26 with 4K graphics, PlayStation support and enhanced multiplayer
The legendary Gears of War is back! Microsoft just announced Gears of War: Reloaded, a full remaster of the 2006 classic. Launching August 26, the game will run in 4K at 120 FPS with cross-play between Xbox, PC, and PlayStation.
This upgraded version includes remastered textures, Dolby Atmos audio, and zero loading screens. Players can enjoy split-screen co-op or 8-player online battles. Best of all, cross-progression lets you switch devices without losing progress.
Fans who own the Ultimate Edition digitally will get a free upgrade. Microsoft also confirmed no account is needed for cross-play, but signing in unlocks extra features.
As the franchise nears its 20th anniversary, GOW: Reloaded brings the brutal action to a new generation. Will you answer the call?
