“Adolescence” Skyrockets to Netflix’s No. 4 Spot With 114 Million Views

Netflix’s breakout limited series “Adolescence” has soared to new heights, securing its spot at No. 4 on the streaming platform’s all-time most popular English-language series chart. The show, which had already been making waves, reached 114 million views in just 24 days since its release, surpassing the likes of “Bridgerton” Season 2 and “Stranger Things” Season 3 on the list.

Initially debuting at No. 9, “Adolescence” quickly gained momentum, pushing past “Bridgerton” and “Stranger Things” to claim a top 5 spot. Now, with more than two months to continue its run, it seems poised to challenge for even higher rankings. As Netflix measures success based on the number of views in the first 91 days, “Adolescence” still has a significant window to potentially outpace the No. 3 spot currently held by “Dahmer: Monster” (115.6 million views) and even challenge the current leader, “Wednesday” Season 1, which boasts a staggering 252.1 million views.

The success of “Adolescence” comes as no surprise to many, as the series has captivated audiences with its gripping narrative and unforgettable performances. Its quick rise up the rankings demonstrates its widespread popularity, with Netflix viewers eagerly tuning in week after week.

In addition to “Adolescence’s” rise, other new Netflix titles have also been making waves. The crime documentary “Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer” debuted in the Top 2, with a solid 12 million views in its first week. Meanwhile, “Pulse” and “Devil May Cry” followed with strong early performances, drawing in millions of viewers in just a few days.

For the week of March 31 through April 6, Netflix’s Top 10 was filled with a mix of returning favorites and new arrivals. The reality series “Love on the Spectrum” hit 3.5 million views in its third season, while “Million Dollar Secret” rounded out the list with 3 million views.

As “Adolescence” continues to climb, the show’s success further solidifies Netflix’s reputation as a platform for not only high-budget productions but also limited series that take the world by storm. With a diverse array of content, Netflix remains a major player in the streaming world, delivering a fresh wave of entertainment each week.
