Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down Diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, Band Cancels Tour

Singer Remains Hopeful, Asks Fans for Prayers Amid Cancer Battle

Brad Arnold, the lead singer of 3 Doors Down, shared heartbreaking news with fans. The 46-year-old revealed he has been diagnosed with stage 4 clear cell renal cell carcinoma, a type of kidney cancer that has spread to his lung.

In an emotional Instagram video, Arnold said he has “no fear” but asked for prayers. The band will cancel their upcoming tour as he focuses on treatment. He referenced their hit song “It’s Not My Time”, saying it now holds deeper meaning.

3 Doors Down rose to fame in the early 2000s with hits like “Kryptonite”. Arnold, the only original member left, wrote the song while still in high school. The band has faced tragedy before, including the death of founding member Matt Roberts in 2016.

Clear cell renal cell carcinoma is the most common kidney cancer, affecting more men than women. Risk factors include smoking, obesity, and high blood pressure.

Arnold thanked fans for their support, calling them “the best in the world.” He remains hopeful and determined to fight.
