The galaxy’s most fearsome hunter is back—and this time, it’s animated.
Slated for release on Hulu on June 6, 2025, Predator: Killer of Killers is the next bold step in the Predator franchise. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the creative force behind the critically acclaimed Prey (2022), this animated anthology pits the infamous alien against some of the fiercest warriors in human history.
The film unfolds across three gripping timelines. Viewers will follow a Viking raider, navigating vengeance and survival while guiding her young son through a blood-soaked path. Next, a ninja in feudal Japan engages in a vicious succession battle with his samurai brother, only to encounter a threat far more dangerous than sibling rivalry. Lastly, a WWII fighter pilot investigates an unearthly anomaly amidst war-torn skies, uncovering a terrifying cosmic predator.
While previous Predator films teased historical themes, Killer of Killers dives in completely, exploring different cultures, fighting styles, and eras. It pays homage to long-time fans familiar with Predator’s comic lore—where the alien species clashed with samurai, pirates, and tribal warriors—while also opening the franchise to new stylistic ground through high-quality animation.
Written by Micho Robert Rutare, with co-direction by Josh Wassung, the anthology balances historical fiction and sci-fi action with a brutal narrative arc that unites all three stories. Despite their individual power, each human warrior becomes just another hunt for the titular creature—the ultimate killer of killers.
This new installment answers a mystery long speculated upon by fans. Rumors of a “secret” Predator project began circulating after Dan Trachtenberg was revealed to be working on two new films under 20th Century Studios. While many believed the next movie would be Prey 2, the reveal of Killer of Killers changes expectations—showcasing the studio’s intention to break the mold of live-action storytelling and expand the universe creatively.
With Predator: Badlands still in development, Killer of Killers will be the first of the two projects to debut, setting the tone for what could be the franchise’s most experimental and stylized phase yet.
Whether you’re a long-time Predator fan or a newcomer to the saga, Killer of Killers promises a thrilling, blood-pumping ride through history with some of the most exciting matchups the franchise has ever delivered.
